&lt;h3&gt;Responsibilities:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Coordinates and assists in the execution of events, for example:&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Sources facilities, transportation, supplies, etc. as required for SCA events.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Participates in committee planning meetings, takes notes/minutes.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Creates and maintains databases to collect and track event data.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enters sponsor, staff, and participant information into database.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Collects and reports on final statistics and evaluations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Completes revisions to curriculum, manuals, and other materials as &amp;nbsp;directed by the Program Officer and/or Executive Director.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Supports the SCA team in the compilation of reports and correspondence.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Orders and maintains adequate quantities of office supplies.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Coordinates information technology requirements and performs regular system backup.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Monitors and maintains the function of all office equipment, arranging &amp;nbsp;maintenance as required.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensures SCA security by controlling distribution of computer access codes, &amp;nbsp;access cards, and keys.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provides front desk coverage including greeting walk-in clients and answering incoming phone calls, and implements communications strategies.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Other duties as assigned.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;Requirements / Assets:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;h4&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Education: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/h4&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Grade 12 education.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Administrative certificate, event planning certificate or diploma, and/or &amp;nbsp;equivalent experience.&lt;/li&gt;

 <title>Coordinator</title>

 <description>&lt;h3&gt;About the Position:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Manitoba Eco-Network is a registered charitable organization serving as an umbrella for non-profit, non-governmental environmental groups in Manitoba, and welcoming individual and associate memberships. Our mandate is to promote positive environmental action in communities through education, facilitation and celebration.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Manitoba Eco-Network is seeking a dynamic, energetic and environmentally-committed individual to fill the 30 hour per week position of Coordinator. The coordinator’s role is multi-faceted in a busy office situated in the EcoCentre.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Tasks include:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Event and program planning including scheduling, publicity, outreach, follow-up (eg. Film Festival; Rain Barrel sale; workshops and special events);&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Management of day-to-day communications and information requests, including electronic, in-person, telephone and mail;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Membership services including monthly electronic bulletin to member groups and to individuals, renewals, charitable receipts, Annual Appeal, event and opportunity promotion;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Liaison with the IT systems Manager, managing the website, calendar and social media;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Supervision of the Library Resource Assistant, and providing support to Eco-Network projects;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Coordinating the Eco-Volunteer program and co-ordination of MEN volunteers;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Co-ordination of EcoCentre functions;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assistance with Eco-Journal including collation of calendar events; soliciting, and confirmation of ads; coordinating mail-out duties;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Coordinator reports to the Executive Director.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;Qualifications:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Post secondary degree in environmental studies or related discipline;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Excellent oral and written communication skills;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Well developed IT and social media skills, including web page writing and update; knowledge of database applications; and familiarity with general office applications;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong knowledge of ecological principles;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Awareness of current environmental issues;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to supervise staff and volunteers;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Outgoing, friendly approach;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to work both independently and in a team, and be able to manage several tasks simultaneously;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience in marketing or social enterprises is an asset;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The ability to communicate in both English and French is an asset.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;IRCOM is a not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to empower newcomer families to integrate into the wider community through affordable transitional housing, programs and services.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;IRCOM is seeking an innovative and energetic Interim Executive Director with demonstrated management skills to lead the organization. IRCOM’s Executive Director is a hands-on manager, providing leadership and direction to staff, and has the vision necessary to lead the organization into the next phase of its growth. The Executive Director provides overall leadership and management of IRCOM’s facilities, programs, operations, finances and ensures effective results are achieved with the available resources within the context of IRCOM’s strategic and operational plans. The Executive Director leads IRCOM’s fundraising program and represents the organization to the public, governments, media, partners and other organizations. The Executive Director reports to the Chair of the Board of Directors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a not-for-profit organization; relevant post secondary education; and demonstrated skills and experience in strategic and operational planning, financial management, fundraising, and program planning and delivery.  The successful candidate will have an understanding of effective board governance practices, and a passion for helping newcomers get off to a great start in their new home.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Participate with the Board of Directors in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization and act as a professional advisor to the Board of Director on all aspects of the organization&#039;s activities&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Ensure privacy/confidentiality of all files and documents&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization&#039;s programs and services and ensure they are reflective of the mission and Board priorities&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure the management and maintenance of all buildings and facilities including capital planning for facilities improvements&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Determine staffing requirements for organizational management and program delivery&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Recruit, interview and select staff who have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the organization&#039;s mission and implement a performance management process&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;h4&gt;Financial planning and management:&lt;/h4&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare budgets&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Secure adequate funding for the operation of the organization&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure that sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures are followed&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Administer the organization’s funds according to the approved budget; monitor the monthly cash flow of the organization; and provide the Board with comprehensive, regular reports on revenues and expenditures&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;h4&gt;Community relations/advocacy:&lt;/h4&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Communicate with the community about the work of the organization&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, partners and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And such other duties as are prescribed in writing from time to time by the Board of Directors and/or its designate.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;&lt;br&gt;Requirements:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;h4&gt;Ideally, the successful candidate will have:&lt;/h4&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;a post-secondary degree,&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;at least three years experience in a senior management role, preferably in the not-for-profit or human services sector, with demonstrated experience in strategic and operational planning, human resources &amp;amp; financial management;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;experience in working with newcomers and diverse community groups;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;a commitment to IRCOM’s values, vision, and direction;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;substantial senior leadership/management experience;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;solid community development background;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;excellent program management, administrative, financial, and organizing skills;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;proven experience in developing funding resources, including proposal writing and fundraising, both from private foundations and government institutions;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;proven capacity to communicate and work effectively with donors, government, media and NGOs;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;experience with a not-for-profit Board of Directors and network of volunteers;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;proven capacity to work in a self-directed manner, provide leadership to and collaborate with others in a team situation;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;strong interpersonal communication skills  and the ability to exercise tact, discretion and judgment at all times;&lt;/li&gt;
