Our members are dedicated to:
- Bringing a national focus to the CED agenda
- Expanding the scale and effectiveness of CED

- Building capacity and skills related to CED
The membership of the Canadian CED Network is made up of community-based organizations, co-operatives, practitioners, students, researchers, and active citizens from every region of the country.
Benefits of membership:
- Being part of a national movement for inclusive and sustainable communities
- Voting in Board elections and at the Annual General Meeting -- help set the priorities and direction of the Network
- Receiving discounts to some events and workshops
- Having the opportunity to host a CreateAction intern and help a young practitioner 'break in' to CED
- Contributing to policy outreach with the strength of CCEDNet's members behind our activities.
Membership Categories
Members
Organisations and individuals that share the values and objectives of CCEDNet may become members. Members receive all privileges associated with the Canadian CED Network. Members are expected to participate in the activities of the Network and contribute to the realisation of its mission. Each member (whether an organisation or individual) is a voting member of the Canadian CED Network.
Member Associates
Individual staff of a member organisation may become Member Associates of the Canadian CED Network. Member Associates share in the benefits and responsibilities of membership in the Network, but are not entitled to vote. The member shall pay an additional annual fee per member Associate.
Supporting members
Federal, provincial, territorial or municipal governments and their departments that support the values and objectives of the Canadian Community Economic Development Network are eligible to become Supporting Members of the Corporation, but are not entitled to vote at a meeting of the Corporation. Any other government, corporate or organizational entity which does not wish to be a member organization is eligible to be a Supporting Member.

Practitioner Development
The practitioner development committee enhances the capacity and skills of the CED community by providing resources, best practices tools, learning events and professional development opportunities. Member Engagement and Benefits

Emerging Leaders
Emerging Leaders is a committee of young people committed to increasing the number and quality of young practitioners entering into the CED field while ensuring an active and meaningful youth voice in the Canadian CED Network.
